Michael Laporte
Michael Laporte, tenor, is thrilled to be making his German debut as Toby in this production of Menotti’s The Medium. He recently received his master’s degree from Rutgers University in the United States where he studied with Dawn Shicoff. There, he performed the roles of Lysander in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Parpignol in Puccini’s La bohème. This past summer, Laporte made his Middlebury Opera Company debut as Jaquino in Beethoven’s Fidelio, and earlier in the year he sang the role of Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore with Opera Magnifico.
